# Ballwise

> Ballwise is a free daily fantasy football challenge at https://www.ballwise.xyz. Each day, every player gets the same historical NFL regular-season week and builds a seven-player full-PPR lineup. The goal is the highest score, graded against the mathematically optimal valid roster for that week.

Ballwise is a web game, not an official NFL, team, or player product. Historical statistics come from nflverse. There are no accounts. Progress is stored in the browser. Completed scores are stored anonymously so a player can see how their total compared with other people on the same puzzle.

## How to play

- Open https://www.ballwise.xyz for today's puzzle. The date uses the America/Los_Angeles calendar.
- The roster is 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 1 FLEX. FLEX may be RB, WR, or TE.
- Search any QB, RB, WR, or TE from the 1999–2025 dataset. Picks can be made in any order.
- Each submitted pick is final. A player may be used only once.
- A player who did not appear that week scores 0.
- After seven picks, the lineup is graded as a percentage of the best possible valid roster.

## Daily grid

- Open https://www.ballwise.xyz/grid for the daily 3×3.
- The nine categories stay in the same squares. Every square uses the same season as that day's lineup. The position or team inside a question can still change.
- The top row is easy, the middle row is medium, and the bottom row is hard.
- Each square accepts one guess. A miss removes that category for the day.
- Fantasy squares use the same full-PPR scoring as the lineup game.

## Scoring

- Full PPR: 0.04 per passing yard, 4 per passing TD, -2 per interception, 0.1 per rushing or receiving yard, 6 per rushing or receiving TD, 1 per reception, -2 per fumble lost, 2 per two-point conversion.
- Immediate pick feedback is relative to other players at comparable positions. A player on the optimal roster is marked as an optimal pick.
